Under free skies

I am fortunate to live where there is wide open spaces, sunsets that blow you away everyday. A place where we are free. As the days come and as the days go, I watch my kids run on our 65 acre farm under skies that turn from Red, to Orange to that beautiful hazy blue just as the stars begin to come out. The bales of hair sit freshly cut and baled, waiting for the hauling. My kids run between them, and jump over them. The summer air is warm, even in the dark, the crickets chirp and the big bull frogs in the pond croak. And it is moments like this that I know I am so blessed.  This is freedom that I know has not come free but by the hands of many men and women who also have had moments like these ones that I have had.
